Our April KMFG featured an inspiring site visit to Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) campus, set against the stunning backdrop of Canterbury Cathedral. This visit provided a superb opportunity for representatives from local industry and education to experience first-hand the university’s state-of-the-art engineering facilities and resources that foster the development of our future engineers.
A diverse range of equipment was on display, accessible to both students and local businesses, emphasising the potential for collaboration and partnership. We encourage interested businesses to reach out to the CCCU team to explore the many opportunities for engagement and joint initiatives.
We also had the privilege of engaging with the dedicated engineering faculty, who shared insights into their academic programmes, research initiatives, and their unwavering commitment to developing well-rounded, highly skilled engineers dedicated to student success.
The final activity allowed attendees to meet some of the final-year students, who proudly showcased their innovative projects. Each student spoke with confidence and enthusiasm, demonstrating the depth of their learning and growth during their time at CCCU. As they prepare to graduate at the end of this month, they are eager to apply their skills and make meaningful contributions to our local economy.
A huge thank you to the team at CCCU and everyone who joined us for this inspiring visit!
