If we reach maximum numbers a waiting list will be put in place and you will be notified by email.

Pictures may be taken at this event. If you do not wish your picture to be taken, please let us know ahead of the event.
Bookings will remain open until the event itself, but please note that if you book with less than 24 hours to go, your name won’t be on the “Signing in Sheet” and you won’t have a “Name Badge” on arrival.
Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) is a networking and business group for Manufacturing & Engineering organisations across Kent and Medway offering a unique access to peers and colleagues, sector specific information, advice and support.

KMFG is open to all organisations operating or directly supporting the Manufacturing and Engineering sector in Kent & Medway, whether they are chamber members or not.

Knauf UK, one of the leading manufacturers of gypsum-based building materials in the UK, are kindly opening the doors to their Sittingbourne manufacturing facilities. Constructed in 1988, the Sittingbourne Plasterboard Plant was up and running from a greenfield site to working factory in less than twelve months.
The production system, which was engineered and designed using the most modern manufacturing technologies, enables the production of a wide range of superior quality standard and high performance plasterboards and insulating laminates.
The Sittingbourne facility is also the location of the UK Powder Plant which was added in 1993 and produces a comprehensive range of products including Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive.

The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided.
Jim is the Training Lead for the southern region at Knauf UK. As part of his role, he is dedicated to delivering top tier training sessions focusing on the proficient utilization of their products and systems within the construction sector. Their comprehensive services cater to a wide range of professionals within the industry, including: site managers, architects and contractors.
While prioritising on-site training, they also have a strong commitment to nurturing the emerging generation, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skill sets for a successful future in construction.
Jim’s role involves providing practical training sessions, either conducted directly on-site, within schools and colleges, or hosted at their dedicated Training Facility located in Sittingbourne. These sessions encompass airless plastering courses, hands-on tape and jointing and constructing partitions.
In his spare time Jim enjoys painting, primarily animal portraits and enhancing the local community with public art for all to enjoy.
KMFG will enable the Manufacturing & Engineering sector to influence, in a more concerted way, the different agendas that are key to business growth and success.
