On Wednesday 26th November 2025, the Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) convened at Eastwell Manor, bringing together industry leaders, educators, and innovators to discuss the future of manufacturing in our region. The event provided a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic discussion, reflecting the collective ambition to drive productivity, quality, and sustainability across Kent and Medway.

Acknowledging Our Speakers

We extend our sincere gratitude to the speakers whose expertise and insights were central to the success of the event:

  • Tom Kurowski, Brompton Bikes
    Tom shared technical perspectives on Brompton’s journey towards increased automation, highlighting the challenges and opportunities involved in scaling up production and integrating robotics while maintaining the brand’s renowned quality standards.
  • Lindsey Biggs, East Kent Colleges Group
    Lindsey emphasised the importance of skills development and educational partnerships, outlining how the group is equipping both staff and students to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 and support the region’s evolving workforce needs.
  • David Stewart, HSSMI
    David demonstrated the power of digital modelling and simulation in manufacturing, showing how collaborative approaches can accelerate innovation, reduce risk, and optimise processes for future growth.
