The Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) is entering an exciting new phase, and we couldn’t do it without you. Over recent months, we’ve hosted a series of sector roundtables, bringing together employers, educators, and stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping our local economy.
Thank you to everyone who has joined us, your contributions have been invaluable. These discussions have provided deep insights into skills gaps, recruitment challenges, and future workforce priorities across key sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering, Health & Social Care, and emerging areas like Creative Industries, Logistics and Professional Services.
Why It Matters
The LSIP is a living blueprint, designed to evolve with the needs of Kent & Medway’s businesses. The intelligence gathered from these roundtables will now be used to inform the new Kent & Medway LSIP, due to be published in 2026, and will directly influence which sectors and priorities are taken forward. This means your input will help us:
As Tudor Price, CEO of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, said:
“The successful impact of the LSIP has been self-evident… and it is that collaborative partnership that is responsible for delivering so many positive outcomes.”
Couldn’t Attend a Roundtable?
If you were unable to join us at our roundtables, you can still contribute to this vital intelligence gathering by completing our employer survey. Your feedback will ensure your sector’s needs are heard and reflected in the next LSIP.
