Kent & Medway Skills Bus – 5th Feb – 15th March

The Kent & Medway Skills Bus is a partnership between the three Kent further education partners, East Kent Colleges Group, MidKent College, North Kent College and Runway Training. The bus showcases three Kent based projects that are funded by the Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF).

East Kent Colleges Group –
Health and Care Project

Focusing on Digital skills and innovation in Health and Care: a trailblazing project to attract new entrants to the workforce, increase the digital skills of the sector, and support the sector to develop innovative applications of care technologies to provide efficient and tailored health and care solutions.

MidKent College Group –
Retrofit Project

Net Zero Construction Skills Centre being built: Bridging Industry Gaps, developing domestic retrofit skills and Embracing New Technologies. Net Zero Construction Skills: Bridging Industry Gaps, developing domestic retrofit skills and Embracing New Technologies – Supporting the future Construction workforce to achieve Net Zero.

North Kent College Group –
Engineering & Manufacturing Project 

This project will increase the capacity and capability of the Regions Further Education providers to support employers to train their existing and future workforce in higher technical and digital skills needed by modern manufacturing businesses.

The bus will be touring throughout Kent & Medway from Monday 5 February to Friday 15 March and staff from each College will be board on different days and visiting different locations to showcase these innovative new projects; talking to students about studying at one of their local colleges and businesses about how they are supporting these sectors and the future skills needs.
