Industry 4

We’d like to invite you to the launch of an exciting new project which brings industry and education together to support careers, skills training and workforce development to meet the challenges of automation in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Industry 4 is revolutionising the way companies manufacture, improve and distribute their products. £1m of funding from UK Government has been secured as part of the Local Skills Improvement Fund to launch a new partnership between colleges and universities, the Chamber of Commerce and some of the Kent and Medway’s leading employers to tackle critical skills gaps in the manufacturing sector. The work includes purchasing state-of-the-art Smart Factory technology, modernising the engineering and manufacturing curriculum, increasing the number of expert technical trainers and creating an Industry Council.

There are opportunities to:

  • Join the new Industry Council and help shape advanced manufacturing skills training.
  • Access subsidised training for your workforce using the very latest in factory automation training systems.
  • Help promote careers in advanced engineering manufacturing and attract the next generation of talent.
  • Be part of a lasting partnership committed to boosting employment, skills and productivity.

Attend the event to find out about the benefits of getting involved and to help to shape the development.
