The LSIP Team was delighted to join local employers and stakeholders at EKC Canterbury College for the official launch of East Kent Colleges Group’s Assistive Technology Suites.

Strategically positioned across the Group’s colleges in Broadstairs, Canterbury, and Folkestone, these state-of-the-art suites showcase cutting-edge assistive technologies. Designed to empower care professionals, they provide realistic, hands-on training experiences that prepare them for diverse care scenarios.

As part of the Government’s Local Skills Improvement Fund, EKC Group has collaborated with other colleges in Kent to create learning environments equipped with the latest assistive technologies. These suites will be available across the Kent & Medway region, helping to bridge critical skills gaps and strengthen workforce development in the sector.

By fostering a supportive learning environment, the Group is equipping professionals with the tools and training needed to build rewarding careers, driven by innovation and enhanced by technology.
