Local Skills Improvement Plan
by Sarah Parrish

The Digital Employability Experience (DEX) Project, led by Kent County Council, aims to target inequalities for Kent residents by providing an online employability platform to support them with essential employability skills as well as having a unique focus on essential digital skills.

As a USP, they would love to showcase local businesses and highlight the importance of key digital skills, regardless of which industry you work in. This project also supports the LSIP, with a focus (but not limited to) the key sectors: Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering, Fresh Food & Food Production, Health & Social Care, Tourism and Hospitality, Logistics and Travel,  and Education.

Benefits:

  • Promote your business/organisation and your industry free of charge with links directly to your website and any other relevant information you wish.
  • Support the Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan aims and objectives.
  • Increase level of residents with essential employability skills, bridging the skills gap.
  • Long term support in decreasing unemployment across Kent.
  • Increase localised knowledge of services.
  • Work towards reducing households in financial hardship.
  • Aim to support the reduction of NEET’s across Kent.

What now?

Be part of their platform launch happening in September 2025. Have your business showcased and be part of this county wide initiative. Please see the video linked to show what your page could look like. https://youtu.be/zHQHgJNwWng
