We welcomed businesses and guests to the February Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) on the 28th February at the Innovation Centre, Medway.

We were joined by Daniel Ratcliff from Medway Council who shared valuable information on their Medway Skills Plan, the central vision of which is to: raise aspirations, realise potential and support sustainable growth. From supported internships to business support, adult education and more we heard about the initiatives in place to drive growth and prosperity in the region.

The Kent & Medway Skills Bus was also there with representatives from EKC Group and Runway Training highlighting the projects made possible by the Local Skills Improvement Fund to support manufacturing and engineering, digital skills in social care and retrofit and construction.

Thanks to our Guest Speaker, all who attended and the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce team for an enlightening and informative event.

March KMFG and the launch of the Industry Council for manufacturing & engineering – Wednesday 27th March, 12-2pm, Ashford International Hotel & Spa.
