Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) – March

Thank you to all who joined us at the Ashford International Hotel & Spa for our March KMFG and the Launch of the Industry 4 Council.

Our thanks are also extended to Mark Andrews from North Kent College and Troy Barratt from Contracts Engineering Ltd for the info and insights they shared regarding the Council and the exciting plans they have for improving the infrastructure, modernising the curriculum, the proposed Technical Training Academy and the Council itself, all of which will support the future skills needs of the manufacturing and engineering sectors. All made possible by Kent Further Education collaboration and the support of the Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF).

Should anyone wish to discuss joining the Council or any of the information shared yesterday please do get in touch lsip@kentinvictachamber.co.uk

Thanks to the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and LSIP Team for the smooth facilitation and delivery of the event LSIP Strategic Lead, Lucy Druesne for hosting. Thanks also to Alison Morris and Neil Bates for their invaluable support with the launch of the Industry 4 Council.

Next up – Join us at our Construction, Engineering & Manufacturing Skills Conference at Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa on Weds 15th May from 9.30am-3.30pm to be both a part of the conversation and the driver for solutions to the short term and longer-term skills shortage in the region in these sectors.
