This week, our Project Manager, Camilla Maurice, led LSIP Roundtable Discussions for Construction, Manufacturing & Engineering, and Health & Social Care—three of our five priority sectors. These discussions brought together industry leaders and stakeholders to explore the evolving skills landscape, opportunities for development, and the role of industry in shaping the regional skills agenda.

Key Discussion Areas

🔹 Current Skills Landscape – Participants shared their experiences with workforce challenges, highlighting trends in skills shortages and training needs across Kent & Medway.
🔹 Future Skills Development – The conversation explored emerging skills and workforce demands, identifying key growth sectors and innovations.
🔹 Industry Contributions – Stakeholders discussed how businesses can actively support workforce development, including training initiatives, collaborations, and policy engagement.

These insights are critical for shaping our LSIP Progress Report 2025, which will track progress, outcomes, and impact. The report will inform stakeholders, policymakers, and the community, ensuring continued action towards closing skills gaps, supporting economic growth, and strengthening workforce development across Kent & Medway.

A big thank you to everyone who participated—your contributions are essential in developing targeted strategies for skills development, innovation, and sustainable growth.
