The LSIP Team, alongside colleagues from Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, were delighted to attend and have a stand at the first ever Medway Business & Skills Showcase organised by Medway Council at MidKent College on 10th April.

A packed schedule of speakers with information and advice for businesses in Medway including an expertly chaired skills session by Strategic Director of Kent Further Education Jonathan Shaw, with contributions from Daniel Ratcliff and Tarnya Cregeen of Medway Council, Matt Peake of the Kent & Medway Careers Hub, Mark Rose of bemix and Liz Halton of Forward2Employment.

Attendees also heard from John Yarham of The Careers & Enterprise Company on the work they do in the region, particularly around their Employer Standards and how using their framework can help businesses of all shapes and sizes close their skills gaps through effective engagement with the education sector.
