One of the standout features of the Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) 2026-2029 Launch Event on 3rd September at Chilston Park Hotel was the creation of a live visual record of the day by Tom Bradshaw of Scribeyak.
As speakers took to the stage and delegates shared their thoughts on the future of skills across Kent & Medway, Tom captured the key themes, priorities and conversations in real time, transforming them into a vibrant and engaging illustration that tells the story of the event.
The graphic reflects many of the messages that emerged throughout the day. From strengthening partnerships and building talent pipelines, to improving job readiness, responding to local skills needs and delivering positive outcomes for employers and communities, the artwork brings the ambitions of the new LSIP to life in a unique and memorable way.
What makes the illustration particularly special is that it was created live during the event, evolving as discussions unfolded. It serves not only as a visual summary of the launch but also as a lasting reminder of the collective commitment shown by employers, education and training providers, local authorities and stakeholders who came together to support the next phase of the Kent & Medway LSIP.
The theme running through the graphic is clear: collaboration. The messages of partnership, action and shared responsibility echo the purpose of the LSIP itself, ensuring that skills provision continues to be shaped by employer need and aligned with the economic priorities of Kent & Medway.
