On Friday 18th July, we were proud to welcome stakeholders from across Kent & Medway to the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce for our LSIP Progress Report Stakeholder Celebration Event.
This special gathering marked a key milestone in our collective journey to address the region’s evolving skills needs. The event showcased the outstanding contributions made by stakeholders from business, education, and local leadership – whose insights, dedication and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in shaping the LSIP’s impact so far.
The approach taken has been truly collaborative, reflecting the strong sense of shared purpose across the region. Together, we’ve made significant strides in understanding and responding to skills gaps – and it’s clear that Kent & Medway are stronger when working as one.
As we look ahead, continued partnership will be essential. There is still much to be done to ensure our workforce is equipped for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Whether through innovation, investment or new approaches to training, our combined efforts remain central to the greater good of Kent & Medway.
We extend our thanks to all who joined us on the day and to everyone who has supported the Kent & Medway LSIP since it’s inception. Your commitment and energy are paving the way for long-term change—and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the following speakers whose insights enriched the day:
Tudor Price, CEO of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce; Simon Cook, Chair of KFE, Principal & CEO of MidKent College, and Skills Representative of the Kent & Medway Economic Partnership; and Camilla Maurice, Project Manager of the Kent & Medway LSIP
Their contributions helped shape a dynamic and forward-looking conversation around skills development in our region.
Let’s keep building momentum, together.
