We extend our biggest thanks to Chris Bichard and the team at SEC Works Group, including Mike Bichard and Leigh-Anne Eason, for their
hospitality. The company kindly hosted our first Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) Site Visit in July, following the relaunch of the group in April 2023.
Representatives joining us from the manufacturing and engineering sectors in Kent & Medway were given a tour of their three sites in Dunkirk, Canterbury and Faversham where they heard about the amazing talent SEC Works Group have within their team and the vast array of products they design, manufacture, supply, restore and convert all whilst travelling on a wonderfully restored Routemaster double decker bus!
A great morning, which culminated in lunch at Macknade in Faversham.
Conversations were flowing, ideas were exchanged and connections were forged and developed. It was great to bring together this diverse group and see businesses actively engaging with skills providers in the region. The enhanced engagement this group is enabling across the industry and skills landscape is encouraging.
