Kent Apprenticeship Awards (KAAs)

The Kent Apprenticeship Awards (KAAs) are a county‑wide celebration of apprenticeship excellence, recognising the achievements of outstanding apprentices, employers, training providers and apprenticeship champions from across Kent. The awards highlight the critical role apprenticeships play in developing high‑quality skills, supporting workforce progression and meeting the needs of local employers.

The KAAs bring together Kent’s apprenticeship community through a collaborative model supported by three further education college groups:

  • East Kent College Group
  • MidKent College
  • North Kent College

Working collectively, these colleges help create a unified platform that reflects the full breadth of apprenticeship provision across Kent, supporting learners and businesses across a wide range of sectors.

Building on the success of the East Kent Apprenticeship Awards, the KAAs provide a larger, county‑wide awards programme that shines a spotlight on ambition, innovation and best practice in apprenticeships. The awards align closely with the aims of the Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) by championing employer‑led training pathways, strengthening employer‑provider collaboration, and promoting skills development that responds directly to local labour market needs.
