Local Skills Improvement Plan
by Sarah Parrish

It was wonderful to have our stakeholders join us last Friday, at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce (KICC) Headquarters in Ashford, to celebrate the publication of the Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) Progress Report.

We appreciate everyone who attended and your ongoing support of the skills agenda in our region. A special thanks to KICC CEO Tudor Price, KICC Chief Contracts and Policy Officer and LSIP Strategic Lead Lucy Druesne, and Kent Further Education Strategic Director Jonathan Shaw for your contributions and for underscoring the importance of our successful collaborative approach.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our Members of Parliament, Lauren Edwards for Rochester and Strood, and Sojan Joseph for Ashford, for their presence and endorsement of the LSIP thus far.

Significant progress has been achieved, yet much work remains ahead. We are committed to amplifying the voice of the business community across Kent and Medway and look forward to maintaining effective collaboration. This partnership is crucial in addressing their needs and plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our region’s skills development initiatives.
